Position Information: The Paralegal - Contracts Administrator is a certified paralegal who provides in house paralegal services in the WakeMed Office of Legal Affairs and the Associate General Counsel ? Transactions. In conjunction with WakeMed attorneys, the position is responsible for the timely preparation, review, and execution of a high volume and diverse range of agreements, with a focus on physician agreements and vendor contracts. The position reviews interprets and revises contract language in partnership with WakeMed attorneys; and drafts agreements, amendments, renewals, and other legal documents through collaboration with WakeMed attorneys or use of existing templates. In conjunction with WakeMed attorneys and stakeholders, reviews, updates, and maintains form documents. Serves as the administrator of WakeMed?s contract database, including responding to database inquiries related to submission and use, managing, and training users. Manages WakeMed?s contract database and ensures that the database remains updated and current. Management includes tasks such as uploading contracts into database, entering key data such as expiration and renewal dates, assigning contracts to parties for review, and routing agreements for appropriate approvals. Responsible for WakeMed?s electronic signature process, including routing agreements for timely execution and assigning users. Proactively engages in and leads contracting process improvement initiatives and implements smooth, speedy and efficient workflow. Provides varied paralegal and administrative services to WakeMed and its affiliates and subsidiaries under the direction of WakeMed attorneys. Performs administrative duties for the WakeMed Office of Legal Affairs that include scheduling meetings, maintaining electronic filing systems, answering and directing telephone calls and emails, and attending to other office-related matters. Acts as a liaison between the WakeMed Office of Legal Affairs and outside counsel and other WakeMed departments. Performs related duties as assigned by the Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, Associate General Counsel, or Assistant General Counsel.
