Job Overview
The Coordinator of Board Operations provides essential support, coordination, and data management to strategically engage Georgetown University's senior-most advisory group of volunteer leaders, the Board of Regents.
They support the planning for the board's three annual multi-day board meetings and a retreat for the executive committee, and works with the Associate Director of Board Management on the strategy and content of those meetings.
They are responsible for all data tracking and reporting associated with the Board of Regents, notably the tracking of the board nominations process. As needed, they also support Georgetown's Parent Leadership Council.
Work Interactions
Reporting to the Associate Director of Board Management, the Coordinator of Board Operations supports the board's engagement opportunities, communications mechanisms, and the events, logistics, and special projects related to the board's work.
They work closely with colleagues across Advancement, including members of the Development and Special Events teams; and interact with members of the Board of Regents, particularly the Regents' chair, vice chair, and executive committee.
Internally, the Associate Manager manages the board's website, communications, and collateral, including maintenance of comprehensive records and the Board Effect; and provides ad hoc support and counsel to Advancement's larger Campaign Operations team, including supporting campaign planning, events, and university activities that involve Regents.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
0-1 years in the field of higher education development with event planning experience
Fundraising knowledge with experience with highest level potential donors, boards, and issues
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Extraordinary organizational skills, attention to detail and excellent follow through
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work and contribute in a team environment
Salesforce experience
Professional and confident demeanor
Innovative thinker with good interpersonal skills
Highly organized and disciplined
Ability to easily relate to a wide range of groups and cultures
A self-starter with creative and independent thinking
