Overview: The Chief Legal Officer (CLO) is an executive member of the Proterra leadership team. The position will report directly to the CEO and have a strong connection and working relationship with the board of directors. The CLO will lead the legal team and oversee all legal, corporate secretarial, and corporate compliance related matters.

Compensation: Competitive base, bonus, and equity, commensurate with experience.

Experience:12+ years of legal leadership experience gained at a law firm and/or in-house legal department at a publicly traded company. The ideal candidate will have significant experience leading teams and advising the C-suite and board of directors as well as broad based experience in commercial and corporate transactions, compliance, risk management, securities compliance and disclosure, IP, litigation, government relations, corporate governance, and M&A. Location: Greenville, South Carolina, with consideration given to the right candidate being hybrid if he/she resides in the Southeast and can be in Greenville regularly.

Relocation: Yes. This is a national search.

Bar: Admission to a State Bar of any jurisdiction in the United States.
