Tenure Track Assistant Professor (APPTC) of Strategy

The new professor will be a member of the Department of Strategy, Globalization and Society at HEC Lausanne. The department is currently composed of Professors Bonardi, Castañer, Haack, Palazzo, Petty, Peukert, Philippe, Vogt, and Zanarone, and covers a broad spectrum of research areas in strategy, including business and corporate strategy, corporate governance and development, corporate social responsibility, digitization, entrepreneurship, grand challenges, innovation, non-market strategy, organizational design and social evaluations. Department members have published in leading journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Management Studies, Leadership Quarterly, Management Science, Marketing Science, Organization Science, Nature, Research Policy, Science, Strategic Management Journal, and others.

Candidates must hold a PhD in management or in a related discipline, or should be close to completion of their PhD. Potential to publish in top journals should be clearly visible. In addition to publishing outstanding research in their field, and contributing to the interdisciplinary conversation in the department, the ideal candidate will also be expected to contribute to research and outreach activities of the ‘Enterprise for Society’ Center, jointly created by HEC Lausanne, the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and IMD (more information at: https://e4s.center/) In that spirit, we especially welcome candidates whose research lies at the intersection of strategy, corporate social responsibility and sustainability.
