THE OPPORTUNITY:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Labor & Employment Associate with 3 - 5 years of of experience in ADA Title III and Unruh Act disability discrimination litigation (defense-side) in the Labor & Employment Department. This role can be based in either Sacramento or San Francisco.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:
As an associate in the Labor & Employment Department, you’ll have the opportunity to work on interesting, challenging, and groundbreaking cases in collaboration with senior attorneys.
You will be a part of the firm’s ADA Title III team— a group of more than 10 collegial attorneys nationwide who focus their work on this law as well as state laws prohibiting discrimination against individuals with disabilities. The team handles a significant share of the more than 12,000 federal ADA Title III lawsuits filed each year, some involving the most cutting edge issues in this practice area. The work will include defending lawsuits brought against our Fortune 500 clients in ADA Title III litigation hotspots, with a focus on California federal and state courts, counseling clients on compliance matters, and responding to DOJ and agency investigations into alleged discriminatory practices.
YOU HAVE:
- Experience with single plaintiff and class action lawsuits arising under Title III of the ADA and related state disability access laws;
- Excellent academic credentials;
- Stellar analytical skills and strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Admission to the California Bar (required)
