Staff Attorney

CFC has a need for a Staff Attorney in the Legal Services group. In this position you will provide routine legal services to Treasury, Member Services and other operating groups as necessary. You will also provide legal support to more senior legal staff in connection with financial and capital market transactions and have the primary responsibility for membership matters and state corporate filings.
As a Staff Attorney, you will:
• Coordinate and monitor membership applications, withdrawals and maintenance processes.
• Prepare documentation and provide general legal support for capital markets transactions.
• Prepare state corporate filings and monitor state registration requirements.
• Provide legal advice on routine vendor and other contracts.
• Negotiate and draft routine loan documents consistent with credit recommendation terms.
To be successful, you will need:
• JD from an ABA accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing of a state bar.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in corporate financial transactions.
• Knowledge of securities laws.
• Experience with corporate governance.
• Transactional experience related to publicly registered securities and private placements.
• Intermediate MS Office Suite.
• Occasional overnight travel is required.
