Job DescriptionPosition SummaryERISA/Internal Revenue Code benefit plan legal generalist position. Serves as the subject matter legal expert for large, complex employee benefit plans, including a Defined Benefit Plan, Defined Contribution Plan, and Health and Welfare Plan. The position performs legal research and writing on all matters relating to sponsoring and administering plan, with particular emphasis on tax and compliance matters, particularly DB and DC 401(k). Substantive areas of work may include participant disclosure, government reporting, plan accounting, plan documentation, benefits industry litigation and disputes, claims and appeals, contracts and procurements, statutory and regulatory compliance, and privacy and security.
