Overview: The Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary is the primary legal advisor and legal strategist to the Chief Executive Officer, Executive Team and the Board of Trustees. This position is responsible for overseeing the legal and corporate governance functions for Strada Education Network and its subsidiaries.   Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the General Counsel operates equally as a day-to-day transactional counsel with internal clients as well as a strategic counsel, interacting with senior management colleagues on a broad spectrum of internal functions, including finance, human resources, communications, operations, and mission advancement. The General Counsel will provide counsel and advice regarding Strada’s merger and acquisition transactions, corporate governance, tax exempt structures, employment matters (including DE&I), administrative policies, operations, intellectual property matters, dispute resolution support and strategy, and regulatory compliance issues. This position also manages the Corporate Secretary functions, including the maintenance of corporate records relating to Board and executive matters.

Compensation: Competitive base, bonus, and long-term incentives, commensurate with experience.

Location: Indianapolis, IN or Washington, DC. No remote work.

Travel: If located in the DC office, some travel will be required to the Indianapolis HQ and vice versa

Relocation: Yes, this is a national search.

Experience: 15 plus years’ general corporate legal experience, including significant experience in transactional matters.
