We are seeking a full-time Desktop and Applications Manager. Applicants should understand and have experience supporting Citrix; Windows 10; Office 365; Office desktop applications; Active Directory, Group Policy, and document, litigation review, and matter management systems. Important qualities include strong systems knowledge and experience, customer service, and communication skills. Applicants should also have experience in the legal or professional services industry and knowledge of security and information management best practices.
The Desktop and Applications Manager is part of the IT Department and reports to the Director of IT. This position is a full time job and designated as exempt from overtime. Standard work days are M-F. Some afterhours on-call user support may be required. This position is an “in-office” job to start, with the future possibility of limited hybrid work.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage desktop master templates in a nonpersistent Citrix cloud environment.
- Manage desktop applications, including line of business application configuration, testing, deployment, and maintenance in nonpersistent Citrix environment, including integrated cloud services.
- Manage laptop Windows client access devices, including line of business application configuration, testing, and deployment using Intune/Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
- Maintain security systems, including antivirus, SIEM, conditional access policies, and ethical walls.
- Provide tier 1 and 2 troubleshooting and support, in coordination with outsourced MSP handling infrastructure and maintenance.
- Manage user accounts, including account initiation, maintenance, permissions, and termination.
- Create and manage systems documentation, support logs, change logs, and knowledgebase for the IT Department and users.
- Effectively evaluate customer needs, exercise good judgment, respond in a timely way to issues and requests, and prioritize requests appropriately.
- Maintain asset management logs.
- Work on special projects assigned by the Director of Information Technology.
Qualifications:
- Citrix cloud management
- Knowledge of and experience with legal applications and systems required, including Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365, SQL, IIS, Teams, and SharePoint; document management, matter management and accounting; litigation review; telecommunications and videoconferencing; single sign-on; multi-factor authentication; iOS and Android email apps; virtual and remote desktops, and basic networking technologies.
- This position is expected to be primarily in-office position with the future possibility of limited hybrid work.
- At least 5 years' experience managing enterprise line of business systems in a professional services firm environment required; law firm or professional services experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related course of study or equivalent work experience required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Applicant must have an ability to explain technical problems in language individual users understand and to identify the root cause of technical problems based on users' descriptions.
- May be required to sit for extended periods of time, though the Firm provides a standing desk. Must be able to bend, reach, twist and push while sitting or standing and be able lift 35 lbs.
