JOB SUMMARY
Under some supervision, responsible for the reporting and analytics of the property company or multiple property companies. Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual property company level regular reporting packages and other client reporting. May supports new business initiatives. Provides financial support to business teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Client reporting packages & Budgets:
* Supports production of property company reporting packages and other required financial information and analytics.
* Supports preparation of periodic financial statements as per the reporting standards of the client and assists with audit and tax preparation and audit review.
* Performs budgeting, forecasting and reporting activities.
* Assist in designing and preparing client presentations relating to the property company(ies).
* Completes in an accurate and timely manner.
Monitors Financial Performance:
* Monitors, compiles and may analyze financial data.
* Performs detailed review of monthly property level reports.
* Actively supports activities leading to improvement of financial performance of the property company.
Treasury Function:
* Supports the daily activities of the treasury, cash management and accounting function on the property company level.
* Reviews and signs-off on property level bank account reconciliations.
* May post journal entries and money-movement transactions.
* Coordinate or ensures all property company transactions are properly posted to banking system.
* Reviews and reconciles trial balances for assigned property companies.
* Performs or supports preparation and execution of periodic asset payment, cash and corporate action reconciliations.
Risk Management:
* Supports senior team members in the management of risk and compliance activities.
* Participates and supports corporate governance matters on the level of the property company.
New Business Participation & Structuring:
* May participate in new business proposals. May assist with structuring investments.
Customer Service:
* Executes on processes and procedures, and constantly provides feedback on process improvement.
* Performs administrative tasks as required. Troubleshoots escalated issues and ensures internal and external customer requests are handled timely, accurately and with a focus on customer service.
Systems Implementation:
* Participates in systems testing and implementation-related tasks. Provides data, information and has in-depth supporting role in an audit process.
Special Projects:
* May participate in special projects including new property company set-up and structuring.
Other Duties:
* Performs other duties as assigned
* Cooperation with asset management:
* Supports asset management function by providing financial advice (basic level) - financial impact of various commercial decisions.
* Participates on regular meetings with property managers on property company level.
Coordination:
* Facilitates information and data flow between accounting and other (property management) teams and asset management
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to the broader group. May guide lower level employees. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or portfolio-specific training to others. May be involved in supervision and cooperation of the third-party providers of the property company.
