Our client is an established and growing manufacturing concern headquartered in North Carolina that values positivity, respect, excellence, customer service and sustainability.

Position Overview: Reporting to the CEO, the General Counsel will be a member of the company’s executive leadership team and will be the company’s first in-house lawyer. He/she will establish and formalize the company’s legal function which includes global compliance and privacy. The General Counsel will be heavily involved in the customer contract negotiation process.

Experience: Ideally 10+ years of relevant legal experience including serving in a leadership role in a similarly-sized or larger company. Experience with corporate transactions, corporate governance and commercial transactions are required. International, employment and real estate legal experience are distinct pluses. Previous in-house experience is not required.

Compensation: Competitive base salary, bonus and equity.

Location: North Carolina – further details will be provided. The General Counsel will work out of the company’s headquarters in Asheboro or its office in Charlotte at least 1-2 days per week.
