Associate General Counsel
Overview: Under the supervision of the Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, the Associate General Counsel will provide legal guidance and support for various Company activities and issues, such as payor contracting, business transactions, compliance with health laws and regulations, medical malpractice, corporate governance, HIPAA and confidentiality, contract negotiation/drafting/review, real estate, tax-exemption, employment/civil rights, bioethics, graduate medical education and research, and self-insurance. Assists in overseeing outside counsel. Participates in monitoring legislative and regulatory developments and providing education to board, management, physicians and other staff.
