We are seeking an experienced contract administration professional to prepare and manage a wide variety of business contracts (professional services, licensing, partnerships, etc.) that contribute to our mission, grow our impact, and generate revenue. As a key partner to the Executive Team and program leadership, the Contract Administrator will shepherd all contracting lifecycle activities within The Lawrence. The incumbent will negotiate, draft, review, and analyze contracts, as well as track ongoing contractual commitments and risks. Working closely with the University's Legal Affairs, Business Contracts and Brand Protection, and Risk Management departments, the Contract Administrator will also ensure that all of The Lawrence's contracts receive appropriate reviews and approvals

Reviews and analyzes complex contract documents, tracks contractual obligations and risks, and ensures obligations are met.
Partners with stakeholders requesting contracts, as well as oversight departments, to draft contract language using terms most favorable to the organization.
Selects appropriate and efficient contracting methods based on departmental needs.
Counsels leadership in the execution of agreements and/or coordinates appropriate business, policy, and legal review. Maintains strong working relationships with key University departments such as Office of Legal Affairs, Business Contracts and Brand Protection, and Risk Management.
Performs trademark and copyright searches, reviews and files trademark and copyright applications, coordinates permissions and approvals for non-UC use, investigates potential intellectual property infringement, and highlights intellectual property considerations.
Investigates and mediates contract-related complaints, including coordination between multiple parties.
Minimum of four years of professional experience as a contract administrator, paralegal, or in a related role.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of specific contracting assignments, including a working knowledge of intellectual property rights and licensing.
Strong organizational, presentation and negotiation skills, including a successful track record of balancing numerous projects, priorities, and deadlines.
Strong listening and political acumen skills.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills. Ability to deal effectively with broad and diverse constituencies ensuring strong customer service orientation and skills.
Ability to quickly develop knowledge of the organization, including its infrastructure, goals, mission, rules, policies, guidelines, etc.
Ability to explain contract terms to a non-legal audience.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
