Department Overview:
Data & Analytics team mission is to improve Wells Fargo's security posture by providing ongoing monitoring of selected information security controls so there is appropriate awareness to control effectiveness and trends, and to support the coordination and prioritization of remediation activities:
Provide assurance that our controls are current, implemented as designed, and operating as intended
Deliver quality monitoring and actionable reporting services that provide clear visibility of our security health for infrastructure related security controls
Increase awareness to control gaps and weaknesses, and support ongoing remediation
About the Role:
This role is of a team member working in the Information & Cyber Security within Data & Analytics function, we are seeking a highly competent and highly motivated individual to join our team as Linux Administrator. Working closely with business lines & infrastructure teams, this role directly contributes to the effort to identify, track, and report out open gaps/vulnerabilities (technical Vulnerabilities or build compliance deviations) on our systems. Reviews and recommends policies and control standards which affect Network Security.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux hosts to support Hadoop clusters.
Along with other technical staff, this position will be involved in the following activities:
Linux administration: break-fix, patching, software maintenance, automation, vulnerability remediation, applying best practices
Dell hardware maintenance
Advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution
Cluster monitoring and performance tuning
User support and provisioning access
Assist Hadoop administrators as needed with root level cluster administration
Process improvement, including the creation of new automation to streamline manual tasks
Technical guidance for junior administrators
Essential Qualifications- 8+ years of experience with Linux OS environment
- 6+ years of technical troubleshooting experience
- 5+ years of experience with server infrastructure technology including HP or Dell Server Hardware
- 3+ years of Unix Shell scripting experience
- Experience with Ansible automation tool
- Engineering and architecture experience with big data
- 2+ years of Java or Python experience
- Knowledge and understanding of Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and disaster recovery procedures/solutions
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Strong technical and quantitative skills
- Knowledge and understanding of technology support: open tickets or calls with vendors
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of security issues and hardening best practices
- Knowledge and understanding of vulnerability scanning and reporting
Market Skills and Certifications
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Agile methodologies, Jira, Confluence
- Experience utilizing Bash or Python to automate complex manual tasks
- Experience with software deployment methodologies like UDeploy, Jenkins
- Previous experience with Wells Fargo is not required but would be a plus
