Market Job Description
Reviews wires that have stopped in the Global Sanctions Management Operations System (GSMOS) for potential matches to the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) Specially Designated National (SDN) list or internal proprietary watch lists. Reviews and determines validity of the hit, depending upon the decision taken by supplied/provided data the transaction can be released or escalates to the Global Sanctions Screening and Reporting Group (GSSRG) /Compliance team as necessary for further investigation. The OFAC CoE team will have access to disposition records OFAC checks from International Trade, FX payments and PVSI ACH processes. The CoE would be working on multiple business types. The procedure to complete the disposition activities are similar; however, there are minor changes in validation rom one business types to the other. The hit scores varies across lines of business and the applications that are used by every business is different. The Trade and FX teams also work on items, which are routed back from Compliance team for further queries in order to help them with their decision-making. The transaction sent back by compliance with more data are further picked by the OFAC GSMOS disposition team members and cleared as per their procedures. These are items, which require further clarification from the processing teams. For Trade and FX related GSMOS disposition the team members need to have an understanding on Trade and payment related activities which will enable them to take the appropriate/accurate decision on OFAC disposition. Depending upon the cut-off time of different process team needs to disposition the transactions from GSMOS
Market Skills and Certifications
B.A./B.S. College Degree or equivalent
Must be willing to work on Night Shifts
Good in both verbal and written communication skills.
Strong Decision making and attention details
Ability to work in changing and fast-paced work environment
Strong flow of dynamics as per the process
Good investigation and problem solving skills.Experience in banking, payments investigation
Knowledge on OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets and Control) screening is an advantage
Basic understanding of Trades/Trade payments/International Currencies/Cut-off times
Willing to work on Philippine & US holidays
