About the Role: The Small Business Lending Credit Risk team oversees the credit policy and risk management activities for Small Business Lending portfolio. Small Business Lending Credit Risk is looking for an experienced credit risk professional to specifically support analysis and reporting across different products. The Consumer Credit Senior Assosiate will be a part of Small Business Lending team that is geographically split between the US & India and will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing trends for analyzing transaction fraud trends in SBL (Small Business Lending) portfolio and on updating the daily/weekly/monthly reports. Role will also require to find solutions to mitigate fraud risk by proposing new rules and work on getting rules implemented in the system. Apply analytics to support risk management regarding data requirement, credit performance, fraud analytics, business analysis.
Qualified candidates must have excellent communication skills, high degree of initiative, strong partnering and interpersonal skills, solid project/process management skills, as well as critical analytical thinking and SAS coding skills. Qualified candidates must also possess a results driven attitude committed to quality work.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Developing and maintaining reports to monitor new originations via digital channel for Small Business Lending. Providing insights for improvements in fraud strategy for accounts booked via digital channel. Identifying emerging trends and conducting deep dive analysis to determine drivers Monitoring originations volume and performance of conforming loans that were booked within the credit policy vs those booked as an exception to credit policy Effectively navigating multiple data sources and analyzing and interpreting large data sets Providing ad-hoc reporting and data mining support Communicating analytical findings to management Effectively leverage analytical tools such as SAS Supporting recurring and ad hoc reporting packages for management
Market Skills and Certifications
Essential Qualifications:Over all experience around 4+ years in similar role with at least 2 years of unsecured lending experience in reporting or analytic functions Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative fields such as applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, finance, economics, econometrics or computer sciences Strong knowledge of Excel/VBA/MS Office Products Expertise in SAS, macros, SPSS or R Understanding of credit risk or data analytics domain Direct experience building and automating production, and/or performance reports Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas Experience determining root cause analysis
Desired Qualifications:
A credit risk management analyst with at least 4 years of increasing responsibility within consumer lending Advanced degree in Statistics/Finance/Engineering/other quantitative disciplines Understanding of analytic/scored decisioning environment Demonstrated excellence at developing sound credit processes and enhancing existing processes Proficiency in Advanced SAS and SAS macros; Tableau or BI/automation tools
