Enterprise Function Technology within the Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) business is responsible for supporting Enterprise Data technology, Enterprise technology initiatives related to messaging & collaboration, risk technology, corporate systems data, and various internal systems and tools.
About the Role
This position is with Data warehousing technical production support team and will be responsible for 16/7 support on rotational bases. Resolve medium/complex technical issues related to assigned applications, systems, databases and ETL. Uses diagnostic and other tools to maintain, troubleshoot and restore service. Rotating support coverage Sun - Sat 5:30AM IST - 10:30PM IST.
Is responsible for the technical support for Data Warehouse/Data Mart/Data Lake within the Line of Business.
Is responsible for analyzing the failures, provide work around and perform Root Cause Analysis for complex ETL jobs and report the same appropriately.
Troubleshoot medium to complex incident and provides guidance to less experienced staff.
Leads onboarding of new applications to production.
Develops new documentation, participates in the development of technical procedures, runbook, playbook and guides
Is responsible for collecting metrics, analyze and isolate any potential bottlenecks
Effectively collaborate with the partners (Developer, DBA and infra) in the effective resolution of a given problem and deliver on time
Troubleshooting batch Job failure, Autosys contention due to Server or DB performance, ETL/Hadoop or database failures.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and use strong writing and verbal skills to communicate facts, figures, and ideas to others. Deliver effective presentations and speeches.
Consistently generate creative, resourceful solutions to problems, Clarify complex data or situations so that others can comprehend, respond, and contribute.
Graduate/post graduate with 6+ years of experience
ETL- Ab-initio working experience of 3+ year
Good knowledge on Hadoop and Big-Data.
Database- Teradata experience
Scheduler- Autosys experience
Sound knowledge on UNIX or Linux Operating System and scripting skills.
Knowledge of MapR.
