The Business Services team across locations provides processing and voice support and to enable a follow-the-sun delivery model for Wells Fargo that would help us service our customers faster. Business Services teams perform bank operation processes across divisions of WF Home Lending, Wholesale Ops, Wealth & Investment Management (WIM), PVSI & Community banking.
About the Role
You will work on a variety of operational tasks for moderately complex securities or cash related transactions or processes that require general knowledge of unit functions and systems. Duties may include: differentiating, processing and reconciling transactions; researching inquires; resolving customer complaints; reviewing time sensitive and/or less complex to moderately complex documents; revising departmental procedures. Coordinates situations that involve other departments. You will have moderate customer contact Position requires superb organizational and problem solving skills, knowledge of investment bank back office processes, understanding of basic accounting principles and the ability to partner effectively with various interested parties including Traders, Bankers, Bond Counsel, Trustees, Finance and Compliance departments.
Responsible for processing of Mandatory & Voluntary corporate action payments
Monitoriing daily queues for the events and update information accordingly from various external vendors like DTC/ Clearstream
Responsible for performing daily reconciliations for cash, security and suspense transactions as well as adhering to established quality control measures and procedures
Research and respond to inquiries from internal business groups, depositories, agents, brokers, clients, investment managers and custodians
University degree in Business or related discipline.
Knowledge in trade settlement including DTCC and FED eligible securities.
Strong analytical skills.
Fluency in English.
7-8 year's financial services operations background with demonstrated knowledge of operational functions and general industry practices.
Ability to demonstrate analytical proficiencies
Ability to learn multiple systems/applications quickly and strong organizational skills
Must be willing to work overtime hours on short notice
Experience with DTCC, Cusip, Mandatory Corporate Actions
Back office operations experience and trade entry
Organized, able to deal with high volume and prioritize workload
