Department Overview Capital Markets Technology portfolio consists of Technology solutions for Primary Markets /Investment Banking/GIB Municipal Products/Asset Backed Finance, various Secondary Markets Trading verticals (like Equities, Fixed Income, and Commodities etc.) and Institutional Investor Services (like Prime Brokerage, Futures Commission Merchant Services). Technology group is also organized as cross product horizontals (including Electronic Trading Services, Risk & Compliance Services, and Funding, collateral and liquidity management and Operations technology).
About The Position CMT is part of Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) group & delivers Capital Markets technology solutions by following enterprise policies, guidelines and programs. The position is for a Capital Market App sys engineer in Trade Processing technology team who can lead and interface with a team of software engineers, business analysts, management, and other technology groups across Capital Markets Technology at WFIP. This team handles Fixed Income Post Trade Capturing, Position Management, Trade Life Cycle, and Reporting to external systems for Settlement & Regulatory reporting.
Responsibilities Lead, design and develop technology solutions to complex problems that require both in depth knowledge of capital markets and strong engineering skills. Individual Contributor with hands on development. Work in Agile teams consisting of engineers that play several roles including sprint planning, work estimation, design, development, unit testing and L3 support. Design and develop products, tools and processes to ensure better safety, reliability and supportability. Review architecture and design for suite of applications and provide suggestions.
Essential Qualifications Must have 8+ years of experience in Designing, developing and maintaining server side applications using Core Java. Good understanding in Post Trade Feed, Trade Life Cycle & Regulatory reporting in Capital Markets domain. Good knowledge and exposure of front to back trade life cycle events for Fixed Income Trading. Must have good understanding of current and future trends and practices in Technology, ability to write maintainable & extensible code. Strong understanding of Product Lifecycle, SDLC, Agile Development, Strength with leading projects and interacting with end users. Experience in Agile methodology and CI/CD tools such as Git, JIRA, Jenkins, Udeploy, and automated testing.
Desired Qualifications Knowledge of FINRA, MSRB, SEC, Volcker, MIFID and/or other industry regulations to build technological solutions. Detail understanding of Position Management, State Transition, and Distribution Frameworks Understanding of Impact, Bloomberg, TRIANA and TRACE products is a big plus Good understanding of distributed caches and JMS. Database development (SQL), JDBC, connection pooling, transactions.
