About the role - Business Risk & Control Director Reporting jointly to the Head of India and the Philippines Consumer Lending Business Group and to the Consumer Lending Control Executive in the US, this is a front-line Control leadership role responsible for leading the Consumer Lending Control group across India and the Philippines at the Global Delivery Centers and Third Party Service Providers Reports (Local) To: Head of India and the Philippines Consumer Lending Business Group Matrix (US) Reporting: Consumer Lending Control Executive Typical Educational Qualifications: Post Graduate Certifications (if applicable): Certified risk professional and/ or CRISC, CISA or CIA or similar certifications
Responsible for providing leadership and Consumer Lending Control activities across India and the Philippines locations; build and lead a team of approximately 50+ Control professionals supporting all Consumer Lending business verticals cross function programs. This will mean but not limited to: Build and lead a credible team to support control activities for the US based Consumer Lending Control group Manage budgets and expenses. Engage and manage stakeholder relationships and provide cost effective solutions when needed. Operational Excellence, focus on driving 'doing things right, the first time' and 'continuous improvement' Engage with local India and the Philippines Consumer Lending business groups in risk identification, control design, control evaluation, issue management and control reporting.
Market Job Description
Engage effectively with partners to plan, assign and manage quality of work and performance reporting. Partner with US Control group to identify opportunities and build talent capabilities in India and the Philippines to support global talent requirements. Provide leadership in proactive organization planning for the India and the Philippines Consumer Lending Control group, lead the team members and effectively manage their engagement, learning needs, career progression and people management requirements in consultation and partnership with stateside leadership. Provide effective leadership for control activities including timely escalation of risks, incidents and issues, including tracking and reporting of corrective actions, with appropriate escalation.
Market Skills and Certifications
Develop and provide aggregated control reports for Consumer Lending specific activities to ensure there is a comprehensive and transparent view of all risk items. Participate in India and the Philippines Control Leadership Council meetings as a member to represent Consumer Lending Control and partner, support and liaise closely with other Control teams to share best practices. Also represent Consumer Lending and participate in other control forums in India and the Philippines.
