CLBT supports various applications for the Wholesale line of businesses. The teams are spread across various locations including EGS. Team member will be working from any of the EGS India work locations. The technology team has various applications based on Iseries, Java Stack, Microsoft, DWH, Etc.,.
About the Role:
An opportunity has arisen in our International Branch Services Technology team for an experienced Developer with knowledge of the IBIS Core Banking application from the vendor, Temenos, preferred. The role requires analysis and RPG iSeries development within the IBIS and peripheral applications, including interfaces and in-house application add-ons. Documentation will also be required by the individual, requiring strong written communication skills. Interaction with internal business partners, reviewing with them the requirements and deliverables to ensure the success of the enhancements. Knowledge of Banking Software would be an advantage, but not compulsory. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent time management skills, the ability to adapt to changing priorities and be able to work under pressure to meet aggressive deadlines.
Responsibilities:
The primary areas of responsibility for the role are as follows:
- Evaluate requirements and interpret impact on the IBIS system. Partner with other business/technical analysts and/or developers to develop documentation for the requirements, e.g. Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), Technical Design Documents (TDD).
- Design cost effective application solutions and develop the code to implement the design.
- Plan, script and execute technology unit testing of code and assist with integration and UAT testing with our internal partners.
- Document and support existing application code.
- Represent the Technology team in project team meetings.
- Knowledge of IBIS is preferred but not mandatory.
Essential Qualifications (Technical Skills):
- 8+ years of hands-on IT experience in design, development and support of complex applications using iSeries Technology.
- Should have 8+ years of work experience in the languages - RPG400, CL400, RPGLE, CLLE, SQL400, DB2 400, Free format
- Strong Technical Analysis skills and methodologies
- Excellent RPG/ILE development skills, including unit testing and SQL database access skills
- Experience in writing detailed technical specifications and documents
- Excellent knowledge of software development life cycles (SDLC)
- Experience with MQ/Messaging on the iSeries platform
- The ability to operate independently in working towards key delivery schedules
- Preferable, but not mandatory, an understanding of IBIS Core Banking system (GL, SWIFT, Retails, Commercial Lending and Money Market modules is a plus)
- Excellent communication skills, to effectively apply verbal, non-verbal and written communication methods to achieve desired results.
- The ability to understand team dynamics and use interpersonal style to achieve the project goals
- Experience with NDM file transfers a plus
- Experience with Turnover and Aldon a plus
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Banking Software would be an advantage, but not compulsory.
