The Program Coordinator: Health, Safety and Operations is primarily responsible for administration, oversight, and coordination of processes related to Center for International Studies’ operations and health & safety abroad. This position ensures strong support for faculty, staff, and students while on University programs abroad.
TCU is a mid-sized, private university serving over 11,000 undergraduate and graduate students. TCU has a rich tradition of global programming, with approximately 40% of TCU students studying abroad during their college career.
Essential Job Duties:
Provides support for pre-departure health and safety through risk assessment, including crisis response.
Monitors world events, prominent health and safety issues and legal decisions affecting international programs.
Serves as a point of contact for emergency management and testing and refining of emergency protocols.
Manages Terra Dotta platform, including travel registration and process related to study abroad.
Primary responsibility for managing internal and external data for assessment and other purposes.
Serves as a primary contact for University global assistance provider.
Serves in a support role for the University International Oversight Committee and International Response Team, providing resources and best practices.
Researches and analyzes current trends and practices in study abroad for long-term planning and strategic implementation.
Writes, edits, and produces program materials for website and handbooks.
Assists with program development, site assessments, and in-country visits and orientations.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
Master’s Degree and 3 plus years’ relevant experience including data management, risk management, international health and safety, legal affairs or 3 years of experience in international programs. OR
PhD and 1 year of experience in international programs.
Preferred Education & Experience:
3 plus years’ experience in international programming or operations related to health and safety and data management.
