Market Job Description
The International Technology Governance and Initiatives Lead is responsible to manage and drive international and enterprise transformation projects and regulatory focused initiatives and provide leadership, governance and oversight across the project portfolio and reports to the Head of International Technology. Stakeholder management and being heavily engaged in targeted projects and related business/management decisions form a key part of this role. The International Technology Governance and Initiatives Lead will work very closely with the International head of business services to ensure that we deliver on the business and technology initiatives (both Infrastructure and Application related) adhering to the technology framework in terms of resourcing, efficiency requirements and location strategy. The role will also be instrumental in driving the refinement of the International technology strategy and governance construct bringing together the Line of Business strategy and the technology strategy across all of the various constituents.
Drive the integration and implementation of programs and initiatives by leveraging relationships with functional and regional business partners and Technology teams and manage multiple priorities and stakeholder requirements
Works with functional leaders to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict and ensures plans/programs adhere to regulations and align with Wells Fargo strategy/policies and business line objectives.
Establish strong relationships with Initiative leaders, internal and external partners, and senior executives across business units on project and portfolio basis.
Inform, influence, and create planning for short-term/immediate business outcomes and long-term sustainability solutions. Assist in driving daily progress of engagement work and informing technology leadership of initiative status
Become a technology point person/liaison for critical projects requiring elevated focus and management oversight.
Develops timely and accurate reporting of the status and progress towards successful outcomes for the region and commitment to regulators. Ensures matrix team develops metrics and tracks/evaluates performance of programs, services and initiatives.
This role will help to deliver the projects successfully and proactively identify potential risks and develop and implement mitigation plans and controls, but also work with the Line of Business on the adoption of new capabilities and automation opportunities.
Market Skills and Certifications
Specific responsibilities include:
Execute plans of the International transformation and regulatory projects, including solutions targeted at regulatory remediation, manage subsequent plan oversight, status reporting, and change management
Build partnerships through ongoing engagement with Wells Fargo Technology (with the tech regional leads and in the US) and Business and Risk functional leaders and team members to ensure alignment with technology and business transformation goals and objectives and, corporate policies.
Influence technology, business and risk leaders to ensure timely implementation and effective execution of transformation and regulatory initiatives with the ability of influence the adoption of new capabilities in the automation space
Manage initiative financials, issues, risks and dependencies and work very closely with the tech development leads in the US, the regional initiatives leads and the CIB Project Office leads.
Provide management reporting and executive level presentations on program status, performance, issue resolution and achievements to Technology & Business leadership team
Is a an important part of our governance construct and ensure we are prepared to support the demands of regional and International Operating and Executive Committees
Manage appropriate internal and external third party consulting resources and service providers
Coordinate and participate in meetings, steering and governance committees with work stream leads and data providers to ensure projects remain on track and issues are highlighted and escalated to relevant stakeholders as appropriate.

Strong experience in managing large or multiple technology development efforts
Strong program or portfolio management experience specially related to regulatory projects
Proven Experience in managing technology/platforms/solutions for 1 -2 of the following areas: Capital markets, Corporate Investment Banking, Finance, Corporate Treasury/Payments
Good knowledge of International Banking regulations and regulatory requirements
Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management and to manage multiple stakeholder priorities
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Framework expereience
Good functional design skills, understanding of software design patterns
Agile Development, Cloud Implementation and Global Delivery Experience
Solid understanding and experience with budget and financial management principles, application and accountability
Staff Management and offshore resource management
