Market Job Description
This role will be part of the Back Office team that supports both the Supply Chain Finance line of business and the Treasury Desk. This includes managing the settlement of Supply Chain Finance related transactions, Money Market ('MM'), CD, FX, Bond, Repo, IRS and other Treasury related transactions in conjunction with the Middle Office team and our outsourcing partners in both European & US Domestic Markets.
The main function of this role also captures implementing and maintaining controls in the confirmation, settlement, accounting and reconciliation processes. Another significant part of the role is assisting management in the completion of related ad hoc initiatives /projects tied to Back office processes.
Manage all client cash funding ensuring they are in line with the agreed contract amount
Effect all necessary payments, paying particular attention to individual currency cutoff times
Instruct & manage effective settlement of repo trades and money transfers in euroclear / FED.
Review all relevant swift messages and action where necessary.
Confirm and instruct any new CDs with WFBIs issuing & paying agent.
Authorizing MM and FX Netting trades in Opics; ensure payments are being released to swift in a timely manner from this portal.
Create, Input /verify Flexcube transactions / accounting journals as required.
Generate manual journal entries to subsystem and general ledger when required.
Assist in the resolution of Nostro reconciliation breaks and subsequent case Investigation.
Effect all non-system generated payments ,as required
Manage the team Daily end-of-day pack, ensuring pack is complete, accurate and filed daily.
Complete monthly statistic reports and provide to management at the start of each month.
Ensure you understand any differences month on month and explain same.
Complete all month end tasks in relation to statements, reconciliation, reporting.
Maintain the shared mailbox, ensuring all queries are dealt with in a time sensitive manner.
Take on projects /initiative tasks, proactively seeking to lighten the workload of the team lead.
Where required, take on QA /analysis lead role in managing UAT for various BO system changes.
Demonstrate the ability to manage diverse work streams, ensuring priorities are managed in line with management's expectations.
Market Skills and Certifications
Payments/SWIFT knowledge & experience is essential
Experience/knowledge of Supply Chain Finance transactions would be advantageous
Experience of Treasury products FX, MM, IRS, Securities, REPOs
Trade Settlement in European & US Domestic markets would be considered an advantage
A good track record of experience in a similar operations role.
Knowledge of transactional accounting will be considered an advantage.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
Experience in using various settlement and accounting systems including SWIFT, Flexcube, Pega and Euclid/Easyway & BONY (FED Settlement) will be considered an advantage
Ability to work under pressure and priorities workload.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.
Ability to operate in a large, multicultural organization.
