President Position Governed by a Board of Trustees, Moreau Catholic uses the President-Principal model of administration and enjoys an exceptionally experienced administrative team. The President reports to the school’s Board of Trustees andto the Provincial-Superior of the Brothers of Holy Cross, Moreau Province.
President’s Role The President of Moreau Catholic High School is responsible to the Board of Trustees for providing the primary leadership for the Moreau Catholic community through the implementation of the school’s mission, philosophy, written policies, and plans of the board. The President serves as the liaison between the Brothers of Holy Cross who sponsor Moreau Catholic High School and the Board of Trustees who govern it. The President appoints the Principal and delegates to the Principal the necessary authority to administer those functions essential to the operational management of the school. The Office of the President is further responsible for planning and executing programs addressing the needs of the school affecting the institution’s enhancement, development, admissions, marketing, and alumni.
The President provides a progressive vision for the school and serves as the chief executive officer and, with the Principal and others, a spiritual leader for the campus community. His/ her leadership and administration is exercised in a manner consistent with the values, heritage and traditions of the Congregation of Holy Cross, ideals set forth in the school’s Foundational Document and governing policies set forth by school’s board of trustees. In addition to the Principal, the Directors of Finance, Advancement, and Admissions report directly to the President.

• Knowledge and demonstrated skills in executive leadership, best practices in management of organizational functions—fundraising, capital improvement organization, board leadership, interpersonal skills for public speaking and development of community relationships. • Effective leadership skills which are grounded in the mission of the institution. The ability to work with a diverse group of individuals and community groups. • Experience with development and fundraising processes, public relations, financial operations and management of the Moreau Catholic executive team (Principal, Directors of Admissions, Advancement, and Finance). • Excellent written and oral communication and technological skills. • Ability to perform job responsibilities with a minimum of supervision and the ability to form forward thinking ideas to enhance the school. Within that context, the President must possess the skills to manage new ideas and the implementation of change within the environment. • Collaborative team-building skills in Board management and relationships with Brothers, Principal, Leadership Team, faculty/staff, alumni, volunteers and friends of the school. • Experience with successful conflict resolution strategies and problem solving at all levels. • Awareness and commitment to Holy Cross spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical needs of high school aged students and secondary educational faculty and staff.
