About Wells Fargo India Wells Fargo India enables global talent capabilities for Wells Fargo Bank NA., by supporting business lines and staff functions across Technology, Operations, Risk, Audit, Process Excellence, Automation and Product, Analytics and Modeling. We are operating in Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai locations
This role is within CIB Front Office support team with in Wells Fargo India. The department works with CIB business which provides direct structured lending in addition to the underwriting and distribution of securities for clients who access the bond markets through securitizations. Business provides services across broad range of asset classes, including securitization & lending, corporate debt finance, and mortgage finance and works closely with large domestic and international clients. The client base includes banks, NBFC, Financial Institutions, Insurance, Mortgage and Real Estate finance and investment funds.
About the Role
The roles involves working and supporting an industry leading structured finance department within a large investment bank. Specifically, this involves credit analysis/portfolio management support for a large department that lends money to financial institutions. The roles also involves review of various client documents, under taking financial review, credit analysis, writing different types of memos, compiling regular weekly/monthly/quarterly reports, trend analysis, covenant review, ratio calculations, etc. and will require working closely with front office team in the business. The roles involves significant opportunities to learn, develop and work as an integral member of the business.
Financial statement spreading & analysis. Reviewing monthly reporting to check for completeness & accuracy of financial calculations including covenants
Preparing a summary of the above either in written format or in a common-sized excel format
Maintaining various databases and various spreadsheets for internal reporting
Tracking & reporting on financial trends of the customer loans
Preparing monthly &/or quarterly decks to report on the above
Market Skills and Certifications
At least a B. Com or equivalent degree preferably MBA, CFA or CA
At least 2-3 years' experience in credit analysis, debt or equity research, corporate lending or structured finance (including work on mortgage backed securities, asset backed bond securitizations or CLOs) with another large bank.
Excellent computer skills: Word, Excel & PowerPoint. Advanced knowledge of excel, VBA etc. is a plus
Sound analytical thinking and high attention to detail
Strong communication skills – both verbal and written. Ability to speak articulately & strong business writing skills (error free, correct grammar, etc.)
High level of personal motivation, strong interpersonal skills to work across continents
Must be able to work in a fast paced production environment and juggle a variety of tasks (time management skills are important)
Must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of corporate loans (specifically leveraged loans) or experience in Corporate Lending/Leveraged Finance
