Department Overview: Information and Cyber Security (ICS) is part of Wells Fargo's Technology organization. Through a framework that addresses policy, process, operations, people, and technology, ICS protects our infrastructure, company data, and customer assets while ensuring alignment with applicable regulations and laws.
: Information Protection Engineering (IPE) strategy is to provide a common and reusable suite of authentication and encryption services and methodologies to internal partners and external Wells Fargo customers. IPE is part of Wells Fargo's Information and Cyber Security (ICS) organization. The Evaluation and Certification Engineering team within IPE has an Information Security Engineering Senior Analyst position available. The selected candidate will join a diverse, motivated and experienced team to work on evaluation and certification of information protection technologies/products as part of the Information Protection Engineering Team.
Perform the evaluation and certification of new information protection products/technologies
Perform the re-certification testing of existing information protection products/technologies and related new patches.
Work on engineering tasks related to database platforms such as Oracle, other SQL and No-SQL databases.
Participates in interactions with encryption technology vendors – helps to ensure vendor product engineering is in line with the objectives and security requirements of Wells Fargo
Coordinate with the vendor support teams to ensure issues impacting Wells Fargo are resolved quickly and effectively.
Understanding of requirements and use cases from internal technology and Line of Business partners
Working with vendors to have Requests for Enhancement delivered and tested
Capable of creating technical/engineering documentation
Participates in interactions with technical, engineering and non-technical partners across the Enterprise for technologies listed above.
Market Skills and Certifications
Minimum 5 years of overall Information Technology experience.
3+ years of experience in information security applications and systems
2+ years of experience with systems engineering and/or support for Windows and Linux Operating Systems(Red Hat preferred)
1+ years of experience with basic to intermediate level scripting on Windows or Linux
1+ years of experience doing engineering and/or support work with databases
1+ years of experience with or strong conceptual understanding of encryption or related data protection technologies
Must have intermediate systems engineering experience in medium to large Enterprise environments.
Experience on engineering tasks related to database platforms such as Oracle, other SQL and No-SQL databases.
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Engineering or Technology
Experience with security technology/product evaluation, proof of concepts, testing, etc.
Specific experience with engineering/support of CheckPoint Full Disk Encryption, WinMagic SecureDoc, Oracle/MSSQL TDE, Thales Vormetric, or other Hardware Security Modules or Security appliances.
Strong understanding of or experience with encryption key management and information security policies
Strong understanding of Information Security industry best practices
Intermediate knowledge of scripting and automation
Advanced problem solving and technical troubleshooting capabilities
Must be organized and have rigorous attention to detail
Proven written and verbal communication skills with both Business/Management and Technical/Engineering resources
Ability to work effectively under aggressive timelines
Proven ability to provide excellent customer service and handle challenging end users professionally
Ability to work well with both local and remote team members and partner team
Proven self-starter that can take initiative when needed
