Description: Manage existing and establish new university Title IX compliance strategies and programs, which includes designing a robust, viable, and sustainable model that serves the university community and reinforces the university’s commitment to fostering a safe, healthy, and fair environment. The Title IX office is part of the Office of Legal Affairs and reports to the Chief Compliance Officer/Enterprise Risk Manager. Primary Function of Organizational Unit: The Office of Legal Affairs supports NC A&T State University in its endeavors to achieve its academic mission and institutional plan while adhering to the University's ethical, legal, and regulatory responsibilities. Internal job number: 000217 Requirements: Master’s degree with 4+ years’ experience in law, human resources, compliance, equal opportunity, diversity, and inclusion, or related field. Demonstrated knowledge of and/or experience with Title IX compliance and federal and state nondiscrimination laws. Demonstrated progressive experience in strategic management, personnel management, and project development and implementation. Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal skills, as well as verbal and non-verbal communication skills, in order to communicate with multiple and diverse populations in a highly-decentralized organization. Demonstrated ability to manage complex and sensitive situations objectively and with the utmost confidentiality and tact. Demonstrated interviewing, organizational, analytical, and judgment skills. Demonstrated ability to be a good steward of university resources. Demonstrated commitment to act legally and ethically at all times, and to champion legal and ethical behavior in others. Demonstrated ability to be a good team member. Preferred: JD or advanced degree in a relevant field, and compliance experience in a higher education environment are strongly preferred.
