Market Job Description
Supervise the day to day activities of the Static Recons & Reporting, Operations System Support and Operations Administration Support groups. Provide guidance and support to the team, ensuring the team carry out their core duties timely, effectively and to a high standard. Represent the team on key projects/indicatives and work with management on ad hoc initiatives. Assist the team Manager to promote a culture that encourages change, managed via industry standards, that motivates, develops and retains staff.

Implement processes to maximize efficiency of Operations.
Ensure the nostro reconciliation process is completed accurately & on time & that any issues are escalated as appropriate.
Oversee any insourced tasks (including reconciliations /investigations work) and ensure they are completed within the timeframe dictated by the relevant SLA.
Ownership of investigation case set up & ultimately ensuring clearance of breaks following the investigation.
Reviewing & approving Sub system to GL reconciliations.
Ownership of the monthly reconciliation attestation process.
Overseeing the inward message sanction scanning tasks.
Overseeing the Project related workload delegated to relevant team members, ensuring the work is carried out to a high standard & target completions are achieved.
Assisting your manager with the ownership of BCP planning for the Operations group & managing the annual requirements around same.
Coordinate the BCP planning for the team.
Overseeing DGS process responsibility of the team.
Oversee the static data set up process across any relevant systems, as required.
Supervise the SSI process, ensuring set up is completed accurately & on time across the relevant systems.
Overseeing the SLA performance management process for any relevant outsourcing arrangement.
Handling of various SOX, audit, T&V team requests, ensuring requested data is provided in a timely fashion.
Ensure all required internal reporting tasks are completed accurately & on time.
Ensure Operational risk is considered for all tasks completed by the team; any incidents are reported & addressed as required.
Ensure either yourself or a team member is fully engaged on any new initiatives/projects as advised by management.
Liaising with team SMEs to ensure requirements are met & adequate testing is completed prior to implementation.
Oversee other Ad-hoc initiatives delegated to SRR, OAS and OSS team members (including EUCT, SLA review etc.).
Assist your manager in driving a culture of continuous review to streamline operational processes to increase efficiencies, controls, minimize operational risk and prevent potential losses.
Assist your manager in the resolution of HR related matters , providing suggested actions etc
Market Skills and Certifications
Strong academic background, qualified to degree level.
Ideally some experience in supervising a teams deliverables effectively.
Strong leadership capability; leads by example, fosters trust and is aligned with the Bank's vision and values.
Ability to delegate & oversee the work of an experienced team.
Experience in using collaborative approach in a workplace.
Ability to think creatively and strategically.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload.
Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills.
Strong problem solving skills.
Ideally some experience overseeing an audit process for a Recon & Static data team.
Strong understanding of systems & core banking products.
Strong experience of Intellimatch, PEGA ,SWIFT and ideally Flexcube , Loan IQ & other core banking systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.
Ability to operate in a large, multicultural organization.
