About the Role
Provide hands-on Level 1 & 2 application support(16X7) as part of a team across our entire global footprint including APAC, EMEA and America locations under International Line of Business
Providing support for complex technical issues and initiatives related to assigned applications, systems, databases and/or other technical products and services
To maintain, troubleshoot and restore service or data to system
- Should be able to mentor and guide team
Troubleshoots hardware and software issues using general guidelines, templates or direction from others
Writing and updating documentation and procedures
Participating in migrations from development to production, upgrades, installations and/or configurations of systems
The ability to operate using own initiative in working towards key delivery schedules
The flexibility to work outside of normal working hours to meet deadlines
Technical: - Atleast 8 years of hands on experience on supporting Tier3 and Tier 2 applications - Should be well versed with issue handling, remediation, game planning, coordination and escalations - Strong troubleshooting skills are must - Database knowledge: should be able to do select query and basic troubleshooting. - Windows platform: Good knowledge on IIS like application logs checking, services start/stop, checking certificates. - Good knowledge on unix server and unix commands. - Good knowledge on autosys jobs, Java, Infrastructure [Mandatory].
Market Skills and Certifications
Should possess following skills and capabilities:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
To anticipate risk and challenges, game planning.
Work with partner teams such as OS support, Network support teams to ensure smooth and faster resolution.
Should be good with SDLC processes that are used in Production support.
Should be well versed with metrics and reporting in Prod Support environment
- Experience in Banking domain. - Knowledgeable with Configuration Management concepts and tools (GitHub, Jenkins, App dynamics, Splunk). - Previous experience working with Production support team in 16 X 7 or 24 X 7 and oncall experience
