About Enterprise Global Services
Enterprise Global Services (EGS) enables global talent capabilities for Wells Fargo Bank NA., by supporting over half of Wells Fargo's business lines and staff functions across Technology, Business Services, Risk Services and Knowledge Services. The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) group is responsible for Agile, Architecture, Services, Product Development and Cloud, Engineering, and Tools, Site Reliability, as well as training and processes to enable the Wells Fargo Technology organization and the company to achieve this transformation.
Provides technical guidance, consultation for environments and leads projects associated with web application installations, upgrades, patching and deployments including designing and testing multiple tier servers to meet growth or user requirements and assures existing systems are not negatively impacted and reports the progress of these at regular intervals.
Develops new documentation and participates in the development of departmental technical procedures.
Consults with the web developers and management to recommend needed web or application server configurations by analyzing performance statistics and determines hardware, software, communication tools needed to support projected transaction volumes, response time and system availability targets.
Acts as an escalation point for web support and troubleshooting, provides guidance and direction to less experienced staff in the resolution of escalated issues and/or complex web related problems, thereby assuring quality, security and compliance requirements are met for the supported areas and oversees updating and testing of the business continuation plan.
Assigns project tasks and provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff.
Provides support for middleware Patching and compliance remediation activities
Troubleshoots issues that arises out of patching and remediation on Middleware products
Uses monitoring, diagnostic and other tools to maintain, troubleshoot and restore service
Good understanding of ITIL process
Maintains changes or issue logs; analyzes trends and recommends process improvements
Experience communicating and presenting moderate to complex information to multiple levels of the organization
Ability to identify and manage complex issues and negotiate solutions within a geographically dispersed organization
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
