The Chief Technology Office Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team is a solutions delivery team that provides Application Performance Management (APM) services to all Line of Business (LOB) technology teams within Wells Fargo. We provide monitoring solutions and capabilities that application teams can leverage to research and resolve performance issues which impact application availability and service level agreements. We work with wide ranging technologies across front-end, middleware and back-end parts of the application framework and provide on-boarding, configure custom dashboard views and alerting, performance expert consultation and training services to our application development and support partners.
Will be working as part of the APM team responsible for the Support and automation activities of standardized logging and monitoring tools using Appdynamics, Splunk etc.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Deliver customer-centric service and monitoring solutions using agile and good risk management processes.
On-boarding of applications to AppDynamics across Wells Fargo to enable monitoring and alerting with best practices and standard APM tools.
Establish customized monitoring dashboards, thresholds, alerting to fully enable Wells Fargo application and support teams.
Verify program monitoring tool configuration by overseeing the configurations to ensure proper monitoring is in production.
Serve as a subject matter expert on APM tools.
Understanding complex application frameworks and flows and assist with developing and implementing custom monitoring solutions.
Develop new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides.
On-call rotation support.
Demonstrate outstanding communication, flexibility, teamwork and leadership.
3+ years of AppDynamics or similar application monitoring tool.
5+ years of experience supporting and troubleshooting environments across the entire architecture (i.e. applications to infrastructure).
3+ years defining key performance metrics, dashboards and scorecards.
Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of operations performance management metrics development.
Experience with automation or configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Grafana.
Knowledge and understanding of Splunk, Elasticsearch or similar logging tools.
Unix\\Linux experience and/or Windows server administration experience.
Application development and implementation experience with Java or .NET and related CI/CD development toolsets and processes.
Experience working on Agile teams with understanding of agile methodology and processes.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Knowledge of industry wide technology strategies and best practices.
Experience with application monitoring
