Leads a wide-variety of administrative and program support activities under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and serves as the primary point of contact for the Workforce Development Board membership. Operationally supports the administrative team through oversight of the local area’s Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) and provides programmatic support, which may include, participant data management; report preparation and/or analysis; procurement coordination; website/social media account maintenance; area-wide stakeholder engagement and meeting attendance along with one-stop partner MOU organization. Responsible for engaging Workforce Development Board members to maintain State certification compliance and provide overall logistical support by coordinating meeting schedules and locations, communicating meeting invitations, contacting guest speakers and planning special events and delivering agenda packets. Assists with agenda development and supporting written material/reports documentation, records meeting discussions and prepares corresponding meeting minutes, provides rules of order and local bylaw interpretation/guidance.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree; three (3) years of progressively responsible and relevant career experience which includes coordination of multiple functions/activities with superior organization and volunteer board management exposure; excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment; prefer applicants with knowledge of WIA/WIOA law, rules and regulation and an ability to use data management tools along with an advanced proficiency in Microsoft office. Applicants must have a valid Illinois driver’s license and reliable transportation. Position is grant funded and office location is in North Aurora.
