The Risk Services Specialist will bring focused attention and expertise required to effectively mitigate organizational risks associated with matters that have potential to impair the Brands reputation or damage with economic impact.
The position and title of Risk Services Specialist will support the Company and the Risk Management Department by bringing a focused attention to insurance compliance, insurance renewals, crisis management and other risk management services designed to organize and manage data and information as may be deemed appropriate by the Sr. Director of Risk Management.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Essential duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Coordinate insurance program renewals, including the accumulation of accurate and complete underwriting information and development of professional insurance submissions in conjunction with the Company’s insurance brokers.
Administer policies and endorsements for property and casualty and management liability programs. Review policies and endorsements to ensure documents are accurate and consistent with insurance proposals. Obtain corrective endorsements as appropriate.
Coordinate and reconcile insurance audits pertaining to general liability, workers compensation, and other applicable lines of insurance; work closely with Broker to correct errors and ensure that exposures are properly accounted for and classified.
Provide guidance on insurance requirements for 3rd party contracts (i.e. customers, suppliers/vendors, etc.).
Manage and seek to continuously improve the process used to track and confirm Certificates of Insurance (COI) received from Licensees are in compliance with current insurance requirements. Follow through on certificate deficiencies.
Partner with the internal business team on certain Cyber Insurance to ensure the guidelines provided by the insurance carrier related to any Cyber Data Breach is communicated and followed
Maintain and update as necessary, risk management process documentation
Update annual insurance requirements in the Operations Manual and ZFL’s Franchise Disclosure Document. Monitor material changes in the insurance market that affect change to the insurance requirements set by ZFL.
Manage and bring to resolution all workers’ compensation claims, general liability and property claims for team members or guests of Zaxby’s Franchising LLC and Restaurant System Solutions, LLC.
Prepare, organize, and review discovery items requests for litigation team. Participate in settlement negation for litigated insurance claims, complete request for production of document(s), and/or internal records timely with the insurance carrier(s), insurance legal counsel, corporate counsel, and/or third party and follow file until closed
Actively participate in the Crisis Management team and Crisis Response Team.
Generate or coordinate various ad hoc risk management/claim data reports at the request of risk management department.
Maintain organized filing system and complete all other assigned duties or tasks as needed.

Expected to handle stressful situations with tact, respect, and patience
Experience with Riskconnect not required but desired
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING GUIDELINES
Minimum four (4) year bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferably in the disciplines of Risk Management and Insurance
2-4 years in-house corporate risk management, property/casualty insurance company or brokerage preferably with experience working with franchise companies in the restaurant sector
