Horizons at the Episcopal Academy (HEA) has an immediate opening for an Executive Director who will be an integral part of the program and will report to the HEA Board Chair and the Head of School at the Episcopal Academy. The Executive Director will be responsible for the overall administration of the HEA program. HEA is seeking a goal-oriented self-starter with superior fundraising, management, organization, computer and relationship-building skills. The HEA Executive Director will lead the HEA team to organize a growing education program.
Additional roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coordination of all fundraising and community outreach activities.
Supervision of the work of the HEA Program Director and the Horizons Administrative Associate.
Coordination of all marketing activities and community outreach.
Preparation of the annual budget and oversight of all financial transactions.
Coordination of Board outreach and communication with HEA Board Chair and Committee Chairs.
Horizons at The Episcopal Academy improves educational outcomes for students from low-income communities by providing quality academic and enrichment opportunities, which enable them to realize their full potential. We offer summer and school year programming at Episcopal Academy for students from our partner schools in North Philadelphia and Delaware County.
Possesses a bachelor’s degree, preferably a master’s degree.
Is strongly committed to the Horizons’ mission and hold a passionate believe in the value of education as an essential tool to help students reach their full potential.
Has at least 5 years of leadership experience and has demonstrated success with responsibility for fundraising, finance, and operations.
Has minimally 5 year’s management experience leading a team.
Familiarity with Episcopal community preferred.
Has demonstrated experience with financial management, including preparing and managing an operating budget.
Possesses excellent relationship-building skills and a customer-service and collaborative orientation.
Possesses exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Possesses technological proficiency with Microsoft and Google applications.
