The College of Business invites applications for a full-time (1.00 FTE), 9-month, tenured Associate/Full Professor of Accounting (Program Lead) position.
Primary teaching responsibilities will include delivering undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting. Teaching expertise in any area of accounting will be considered (with a preference for tax, financial, or accounting information systems). Scholarly activities are expected to result in publications in high quality peer-reviewed journals. Program administration responsibilities include assisting with faculty scheduling, engagement with the accounting profession (including management of a professional advisory board), management of accounting program funds, participation in the evaluation of accounting faculty, facilitation of the accounting program's continued AACSB accreditation, etc. Apart from program administration, service includes engaging in appropriate activities within the College, University, and accounting profession (including professional societies), contributing to College and University strategic initiatives, and enhancing student and faculty experiences in the accounting profession.
To be considered for appointment, a candidate must have sufficient experience and qualifications to qualify for promotion according to University guidelines, including a demonstrated record of research of acceptable dimension that works toward distinction in scholarship. Faculty are also expected to deliver high quality teaching and to engage in appropriate service activities within both the University and the accounting profession.

COB academic faculty teaching assignments may include course delivery in any format (ie. In person, online, hybrid).
Typically requires PhD or terminal degree (Masters for some Extension positions and MLS for Library positions) and significant experience in teaching in a classroom, Extension, or other setting, and development of a research program in the academic discipline/unit.
An appropriate earned doctorate degree from an AACSB accredited university or equivalent with an emphasis in accounting.
Candidates must hold a similar rank with tenure at their current institution.
Evidence of an active research agenda with recent publications in highly-ranked accounting journals, such as the Journal of Accounting Research, the Journal of Accounting and Economics, Accounting Review, Review of Accounting Studies, Contemporary Accounting Research, or Accounting Organizations and Society.
Evidence of teaching effectiveness.
A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
Typical of academic research and teaching environment. Some evenings and weekends required.
