The Program on Corporate Governance at Harvard Law School has an entry-level opportunity for a Corporate Governance Associate. This is a term-limited position starting as soon as possible and in any case before May 1, 2019 and expiring on June 30, 2020. The position is extendable for additional one-year appointments contingent on business needs and funding.
The Corporate Governance Associate will be responsible for the following activities:
Primary responsibility for the daily publication of the Program's blog, including coordinating with editors, organizing workflow, corresponding with contributors
Researching, developing, and editing content, and preparing content for publication
Acting as front-end web coordinator for the Program's blog and websites, including updating content, resolving technical issues, and designing and creating new elements and pages as needed
Providing frontline technical support for the Program
Publicizing organizational activities by preparing and publishing electronic announcements and newsletters, posting to social media, managing relational databases of contacts, updating subscriber lists, and gathering press mentions
Assisting with other Program administrative tasks
Performs other tasks as necessary
This is a term position currently expected to extend through June 30, 2020 with possibility of extension, contingent on funding and departmental need.

Minimum 3 years of related experience in research, communications or related field. Education beyond high school may count toward experience.
Bachelors degree or relevant experience strongly preferred. Strong research skills. Strong skills in written English, and experience editing and preparing written content, such as prior editorial, research, or creative writing work. Must have related technical expertise in web frontend maintenance, troubleshooting, and development. Must have experience coding in HTML and CSS, and using a range of related applications and online tools – for example, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, FTP clients, WordPress, and Google Analytics. Must have strong organization and communication skills, and ability to communicate professionally with people inside and outside the organization. Must have a strong knowledge of MS Office applications, including MS Access and MS Excel. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, pay close attention to detail, prioritize diverse tasks, and coordinate workflow among staff. Interest in corporate law, finance, or public policy is useful.
