We are looking for a smart, energetic, enthusiastic, and versatile associate to join the Austin office of the largest environmental law firm in the country, ranked by U.S. News-Best Lawyers as “Environmental Firm of the Year” in 2018 and 2019 and as Law360’s Environmental Practice Group of the Year in 2017 and 2018. The ideal candidate will be a first-, second-, or third-year associate who wishes to focus on environmental regulatory counseling and litigation. Our associates get substantive and front-line responsibility, working directly with the firm’s shareholders, clients and technical consultants on unique and challenging environmental issues across the U.S. and globally. Preferred candidates should have the following qualifications: - J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials;
- Strong analytical, research, writing and oral communication skills, organized, detailed, work well under deadlines, creative thinker, multitasker, and have the ability to assume significant client responsibilities; and
- Experience with, or demonstrable interest in, the major environmental law statutes, such as the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, and CERCLA.
