The General Counsel is responsible for the legal affairs of Rogue Waste Group which includes the leadership of corporate strategic and tactical legal initiatives. The General Counsel provides legal counsel to the Chairman of the Board and CEO, the Board of Directors, and members of senior management. Additionally, the General Counsel oversees the selection, retention, management and evaluation of all outside attorneys whose specialized knowledge and skills may periodically be required. The General Counsel position will be coming in-house for the first time following a multi decade fulfillment of the role by outside counsel.
The General Counsel will report directly to the CEO of Rogue Waste Group and be supported by external counsel who will remain on retainer for a transitional period.
Required Experience, Education & Licensure
A minimum of six to ten or more years of experience as a practicing attorney with a law firm or in-house with a company
Five or more years’ experience in the solid waste industry is desirable but not required
J. D. degree
Admitted to the bar
Currently licensed to practice law
