Overview: The Assistant General Counsel will be a corporate generalist position supporting B. Riley Financial’s business teams on a variety of day-to-day legal matters, including contracts and contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, litigation support, corporate transactions, securities law, employment law, bankruptcy, and corporate governance. The Assistant General Counsel will provide legal advice and counsel on mergers and acquisitions, securities and financial disclosures and other corporate matters. S/he will lead transactions, work independently and as part of a team, and forge close working relationships throughout the organization.

Compensation: Competitive compensation package.
Experience: The successful candidate will have five to eight years of broad-based corporate legal experience in dealing with sophisticated legal issues, including mergers and acquisitions, securities and financial disclosures, and other corporate matters. A background in the financial services industry is preferred, but not required.
